Excursion Brussels Biennial

ADA Rotterdam organises an excursion to the Brussels Biennial on December 28, 2008. For this first edition of the Biennial, the organisation invited eight European institutes for contemporary art to curate a part of the exhibition. One of the locations is a former sorting center of the national postal service, next to one of the main train stations of the city. This is an example how the organisation takes an architectural conception of modernity as a starting point to question its own position in the self pro-claimed capital of Europe. By inviting different institutes the Biennial strives to mirror the complex network of interrelated institutions that together form contemporary European society.

If you wish to join us on our trip to Brussels we kindly request you to let us know before Christmas, i.e. December 23.
